WHAT IS THERAPY?

If you are going through a transition in your life that feels difficult, would like support working through something specific, or simply aren't feeling like yourself, therapy is a wonderful space to explore this. I work transparently, providing a space for us to think together. I want my clients to feel empowered to understand themselves and their life better. It is imperative for our mental and physical health to live in a way that feels meaningful and intentional. Whether this is your first time seeking counselling, or you are returning to therapy, we will work together figure out what you need.

I am trained psychodynamically, which explores how past experiences, relationships, and feelings can affect our current life and view of ourselves. More than anything, it is important that therapy feels like the right fit for you. I offer a space to make tough stuff 'talk-about-able'. I offer a variety of options to help integrate mental health into your life in a way that makes sense to you.

Sessions will be via video online using Zoom, from the comfort of your own space, at a time that works for you.

 

I work with individuals of all ages, genders, sexualities, and cultures. My work is inherently intersectional, feminist and LGBTQ+ affirmative. My approach is trauma-informed. I do not diagnose, though I am happy to work 'with' diagnoses. It is my transparent view that all humans experience mental health, and that it is inexplicably entwined with physical health. Having a difficult time makes you human, and there are ways I can help you cope and understand. Your lived experience is welcome here.
